Web Design concepts and photography for Melbourne based firearms supplier - Beretta Australia
Insprint worked on a couple of small projects for Beretta Australia, the Australian arm of the Italian-based firearms manufacturer, Beretta. Established in 1526, Beretta is the oldest active manufacturer of firearm components in the world. Insprint was privileged to visit the Dandenong based company and photographed their newly opened showroom. We provided Web Design drafts for a marketing proposal to overhaul the arms supplier’s website presence, together with photography and some brochure print work and catalogue layout design. Working for Beretta was a surreal experience – having never seen or handled firearms of any description before, it was quite literally like ‘something out of a movie’.
For this project we had to do research into the company, and competitor companies and products in the market place to find out where Beretta should be placed visually. We knew it was a small advisory contract as the web build was already contracted and that we were simply providing some external visuals for the marketing team to present options. So, with that in mind, the challenge was to present something that was clear, comprehensive and could be interpreted and taken on easily.
We were excited that part of our designs were used as the core layout structure for the rebuild of the website and that the company decided to use many of the fundamental parts of our design, as well as the images we took. Although that design has been superseded now, it’s still a great memory from a fun project and the connections we made helped us to take on some other product design and advertising work from a Remington wholesale distributer RayTrade, and we were also contracted to brand a Shooting and Outdoors supplier, Calibre Country in Tamworth Australia.
I visited the Beretta Australia offices and secure facility and worked with with the Beretta Australia Marketing Manager to create concepts to present to their management board. While at the facility I took internal photographs of their showroom for ongoing marketing use.
