Capture unique promotional imagery and video footage for the Norfolk Island Government Tourist Bureau
Insprint has worked extensively for the Norfolk Island Government Tourist Bureau since 2008. We frequently have to tender for projects, and are proud to have been awarded numerous contracts across a broad spectrum of design and production jobs, but we also conducted several photography and videography shoots between 2012 and 2015. We have regularly been contracted help build Norfolk Island Tourism’s extensive library of destination imagery and video to specifically target the Norfolk Island visitor demographic.
Much of this work is about portraying a peaceful, yet interesting and diverse holiday destination, but more importantly it is about connection, togetherness and discovery.
In each contracted period we built comprehensive shoot lists to compliment the marketing strategy papers from Norfolk Tourism and sourced pairings/families of suitable models and arranged a series of location shoots that fulfilled the projected narratives and the library requirements. We achieved most of these projects in short intensive shoot periods to ensure that the client received both value and efficiency in the delivery timetables.
We have completed a number of shoots like this for Norfolk Tourism in different capacities and have employed the services of Drone Specialists (Drones weren’t quote as readily available as they are today), contracted Light Planes, Helicopters and Marine Charters among others to produce a diverse and exciting range of imagery available to Tourism stakeholders to market the Norfolk Island destination.
Throughout some of this work we had to become amateur weather watchers – constantly checking the weather radar and on the phone to the local Bureau of Meteorology to try and track perfect conditions to carry out shoots. We manage to work through logistical challenges and setups with various teams which included Photograher, Lighting Assistant, Assistant/Producer, Videographer and some fantastic – and patient – models. Together we have managed to capture a library of images with supporting video that have been used extensively for several years.
